The first event is a run of performances of Dickens' “A Christmas Carol,” taking place at Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow. Jonathan Kruk will bring to life the classic tale, along with musical accompaniment.

Performances are over three consecutive weekends, Dec. 6 and 7, 13 and 14 and 20 and 21. Shows are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m., and 6 p.m.

Tickets for “A Christmas Carol,” include free admission to "A Holiday Open House," which takes place across the street from the church at Philipsburg Manor.

This 18th-century site, owned and operated by Historic Hudson Valley, is lit by candle lanterns and bonfires. Hands-on, winter-themed crafts, live fiddle music, complimentary sweets and hot beverages are all available.

The Philipsburg Manor Museum Shop will be open as well, packed with special Hudson Valley merchandise that can’t be found at traditional retailers.

Capacity is very limited for “A Christmas Carol,” and purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. Ticket prices are $24 for adults and $20 for children under 18. Historic Hudson Valley recommends the event for ages 10 and up. Members of Historic Hudson Valley receive a $5 per ticket discount.

Tickets for "A Holiday Open House" are also available separately, at $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, $8 for children three to 17, and free for children under three and Historic Hudson Valley members.

Philipsburg Manor is at 381 N. Broadway (Route 9) in Sleepy Hollow. Parking for both events is available there.
