Hastings Liquor owner George Klasic will stay open on Sunday, his usual day off, to serve Super Bowl fans.
"I am usually not opened on Sundays, but we always have a big day for the Super Bowl with people having parties at home," Klasic said. "We'll have a bump in business for sure."
The match-up between AFC Champion Baltimore Ravens and NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers kicks off at 6:30 p.m. in New Orleans, La.
Ardsley Market Fresh, which opened in late 2012, will be serving the community for its first Super Bowl.
"We have our three-foot heros and all kinds of side dish trays and we're getting orders (Thursday) for Sunday," Ardsley Fresh owner Jamal Alrubai said. "I know a lot of people are having parties at home. We're hoping for a big weekend."
Rob Basile, the Craft Brew Manager for Oak Beverages in Ardsley, said Super Bowl Sunday helps get business going after slow January sales.
"We expect Super Bowl weekend to be busy," Basile said. "After the holidays, January can be slow. The bars are packed and there are lots of events and parties for the game."
Local taverns like Doubledays in Dobbs Ferry, Bubba's in Ardsley and the Rainwater Grill in Hastings-on-Hudson will be screening the Super Bowl on large televisions and local restaurants have been busy taking orders and planning for a busy weekend in the kitchen.
"Super Bowl is always a big day for Buffalo Wings orders," Slices Pizza owner Isaac Garson said. . "The problem this year is that wings have almost doubled in price. We won't have as many people in the restaurant during the day because everyone orders for house parties. We'll be very busy."
