This significant recognition by the bank employees coincides with several additional accolades The Westchester Bank has had the privilege to receive including induction into the 2016 Business Council of Westchester’s Business Hall of Fame, a 2016 Bauer Financial Five-Star Rating symbolic of financial strength and stability, and a 2015 Top 25 Commercial Lender ranking of community banks nationwide.

John M. Tolomer, President and CEO of The Westchester Bank stated, “Selection by our own employees as a Top Work Place may be the most fulfilling recognition we’ve had to date.”

“You have to remember that we started in 2008 with just eight employees, working out of two double-wide trailers,'' Tolomer added. "We have since grown to 56 employees today, all driven by our core operating principle of Banking Made Personal. While building relationships and trust with our customers is key, that same positive attitude and energy in all our employees has made the Bank’s steady growth possible. We know we have the best employees in the industry; now everyone knows and we couldn’t be more proud,.

Kristin Ball, Vice President of Human Resources for The Westchester Bank, is responsible for finding the right fit for positions within the organization. Ball stated, “While we want the most qualified person for each position, we also seek individuals that can meld well with a work culture not only of quality and accountability, but also a genuine positive attitude and willingness to work together as a unit. Our employees really enjoy working with each other and that atmosphere is contagious in a very positive way. It’s fun to see and to be part of."
