Whether you want to go shopping, see a live show or just keep the kids busy, there will be plenty to do this weekend.
Hastings will host the Cub and Boy Scout Field Day Saturday for young children. The event is not just for current scouts and Park Committee Chairman Richard Saunderson encourages anyone interested to join the fun.
The Scout Field Day will be full of games for children, such as water rockets, tug of war, three legged races and more. Further information about the Field Day and how to get involved with the scouts can be found here .
There are plenty of other activities in the area. Here are some more events happening around the area this weekend:
On Friday there will be Ta'i Chi at 11 a.m. in the Hastings Community Center followed by an aerobics class at 12:30 p.m.
The Dobbs Ferry Farmers Market will also be back on Cedar Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Open Mic Night will be held in Hastings at 7 p.m. as the Purple Crayon comes to town. The Purple Crayon is back in Hastings again Saturday with a performance from Syrian songstress Gaida . The show kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Hastings' own Farmers Market begins at 8:30 a.m. in the lot in front of the Municipal building and library.
"Our 70's Show" will be held in Dobbs Ferry Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mead House. The Dobbs Ferry Historical Society encourages everyone to come and relive the 1970's from the fashion to the music and food.
The Oscar nominated film "Dancemaker" will be shown Saturday at 145 Palisade Street, Studio No. 404 in Dobbs Ferry.
