A Look Ahead At The Week In The Rivertowns

RIVERTOWNS, N.Y. - Third and fourth grade students in Hastings, Dobbs Ferry and Ardsley will be taking English Language Arts exams Tuesday through Thursday so parents should be sure the little people get plenty of sleep.

The Dobbs Ferry Little League opens its season Saturday, April 20.

Monday, April 15

Hastings Planning Board: 8:15 p.m. Several items on the agenda including a look at a proposal by Ginsberg Development Companies (GDC) for the development of their property at Saw Mill River Road at Municipal Building, 7 Maple Ave.

Tuesday, April 16

Ardsley Schools Seminar: Author and educator Yong Zhao will give a presentation on technology in education at the Ardsley Middle School.

Senior Citizen Spring Party: Dobbs Ferry seniors are invited to Embassy Community Center, 60 Palisade St. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the annual party.

Saturday, April 20

Little League Parades: Dobbs Ferry and Hastings Little League Opening Day parades will be held. Hastings begins with a line-up at the American Legion Hall on Farragut Ave. at 8:30 a.m. Dobbs Ferry gets going at Dobbs Ferry High School at 11 a.m. with a ceremony in the gym in case of inclement weather.
