H’SAO is defined by the strength of its voices and vocal harmonies as well as its energetic performances. H’SAO is a Montréal-based band from Chad. They have traveled the world performing for both intimate audiences and large crowds alike. Most notably, H’SAO has performed for Queen Elizabeth at a Canada Day celebration. During their years writing and performing music, the band has drawn influences from music of many different cultures. Through borrowing concepts from gospel, soul, R&B, reggae and Chadian music, H’SAO has created a unique genre of music that transcends all of “world music.” When they started out, H’SAO performed  a cappella, but soon after writing some more songs, added instrumentation to their compositions. Today, the self-taught musicians weave their voices and vocal harmonies into their powerful live performances.

Ten years after the release of their first album, H’SAO launched their newest album entitled Oria. The level of social commitment expressed on this third album is a tribute to the impressive journey that led up to its creation.
