HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Andrus on Hudson Senior Care Community will host a Spring Fest for residents, staff, families and neighbors at the Hastings facility Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Visitors will be treated to live entertainment, children’s activities, crafts, food and vendors selling Mother’s Day gifts. They will also have the opportunity to enjoy 26 acres of beautiful gardens and trails overlooking the Hudson River.
The live entertainment will include Ring ‘O Bells, the oldest all female Morris Dance Team, which will lead a traditional maypole dance.
Matt Turk, a professional recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, eternal idealist and peace-loving realist, will be performing with his mandolin and guitar. The Blues Mothers, a soulful band that has been performing for eight years and is releasing their first CD this summer, will also take the stage.
Primate House, a rising indie rock band who just won "Battle of the Bands 2013" at The Purple Crayon in Hastings-on-Hudson, will play as will The Vibes, a fresh rock band that began its career at "Take Me to the River 2012" in Hastings-on-Hudson.
A $5 donation is suggested for admission to the event. The rain date is Saturday, May 4.
