Dobbs Ferry Adds Doubleday's Breakfast To Labor Day 5K Run

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - The Annual Dobbs Ferry 5-Kilometer Race will combine the efforts of the Village Recreation Department, Mercy College and Doubleday's Restaurant for the "Labor On Labor Day" event on Sept. 2.

According to Dobbs Ferry Recreation Department Superintendent Matt Arone, this year's 5K Run will now include an after-race party sponsored by Doubleday's. The race is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the Mercy College parking area. "The event draws between 100-150 runners," Arone said. "I believe this is the 11th year of the race. Everyone can enjoy a great breakfast buffet at Doubleday's following the race" The top male and female overall winner will receive trophies and awards will be presented in eight different age brackets.

The entry fee for the race is $15 for adults and $8 for children under 10-years-old (pre-registered before September 2), which includes a T-shirt. The fee is $20 the day of the race. Those who want to enjoy the Doubleday's breakfast buffet may pay an additional $15 for adults and $8 for children. To download the entry form, log on to the race website registration page.
