Dobbs Ferry's Curious On Hudson Explores Music, Cooking, Books

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Dobbs Ferry-based Curious-on-Hudson will host a series of educational events and seminars from Friday through Sunday.

On Friday Bob Albanese will perform jazz with vocalist Sonya Perkins as part of the Bob Albanese Jazz salon at 7:30 p.m. 

Teens 14-years-old and up can learn to play Djembe, a West African drum from M'Bemba Bangoura on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. Saturday's class is the first of five sessions. Students are welcome to attend one or all of the seminars. The cost for all five sessions is $125. Click here to register

Author Fred Kaufman, who helped launch Curious-on-Hudson will discuss his recent research on food in the literature of Washington Irving at 12 p.m. on Sunday. 

Also on Sunday at 1 p.m., Curious-on-Hudson will host a seminar on using Indian spices and flavors for cooking with Rinku Bhattacharya.
