ARDSLEY, N.Y. Area music lovers can spend summer nights listening to free live entertainment thanks to the Ardsley Summer Concert in the Park series.
The series at Pascone Park, which has been held for the past 10 summers, includes four concerts, said recreation supervisor Trish Lacy, and is funded completely by the village of Ardsley. Lacy said many of the performers are either local residents or have ties to the community. Depending on the concert date, Lacy said attendance ranges anywhere from 50 to 150 people.
The first concert is Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will feature a performance by the Stella Blues Band, a Grateful Dead cover band.
The series is held at Pascone Park, formerly known as Ashford Park, Lacy said. The parks name was changed last October to honor Louis Pascone and his lifelong commitment to the Ardsley community, Lacy said.
The other three concerts are as follows:
Saturday, July 28 The Barj Project
Saturday, Aug. 28 Bill Watson and Friends
Friday, Aug. 24 Evan Schwam
All concerts are from 7 to 9 p.m. and are free. For more information, visit the Ardsley Department of Parks and Recreation website or call (914) 693-8012.
