The awards recognize individuals and organizations whose vision, commitment and leadership enrich Westchester, its communities and its citizens through the arts.
RiverArts, now in its 50th year, is a volunteer-driven organization yet remains a primary force in bringing art and education to Rivertown residents and tourists.
ArtsWestchester was established in 1965 as the Council for the Arts in Westchester and is the state's largest private, not-for-profit service organization making the arts available and accessible to all county residents.
The other 2013 Arts Award winners are: Judy Evnin (Arts Patron), Broadway performer and producer Craig Schulman (Artist Award), photographer Tony Vaccar (Artist Award), Westchester Chamber Music Society Dr. Caroline Bauman (Community), Arc of Westchester (Community), North Castle Public Library (Community), Archbishop Stepinac Drama Club (Education) and Purchase College arts educator Rosalie Sauerhaft (Sophia Abeles Award).
The event opens with a reception at noon followed by a 12:30 p.m. luncheon. To reserve a place, visit the ArtsWestchester page.
