The group, paid for through a grant from the Helen Andrus Benedict Foundation, and coordinated through the fall making art work program, is hosting the session at 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at the James Harmon Community Center. The program is open to people 55 years or older from Yonkers, Hastings-on-Hudson and lower Westchester, according to a press release.
"We will be making sewn, knit and crochet hats and scarves that will be donated to children and adults in the Westcop Foster Grandparents Program," representatives said in the release.
Residents interested in the program are asked to contact Anne Russak at the James Harmon Community Center at 914-478-2380 or Liz Curtin at (212) 423-9665 ext. 432 or email at curtinl@carterburdencenter.org.
