Sixteen food establishments will offer appetizers, beverages and desserts each in exchange for boarding passes. Five of these passes can be purchased for $20 with 25 percent of proceeds going to the Hastings Food Pantry. Also, 24 businesses will be open late offering special discounts.

The Center Restaurant and Slices will double as an Internet cafe and game center.

“It's a great way to experience our Village - eating, drinking, shopping and enjoying together while helping others who are in need this holiday season,” said Barbara Prisament, Hastings' downtown advocate. “We hope to attract not only our own residents but visitors who want an experience of Hastings.”

The Mill will host a performance by the Chris Conte Holiday Jazz Trio from 8 p.m.-11 p.m., and Joey Eppard will play at the River Roadhouse at 9:30 p.m.

The Upstream Art Gallery will be open until 10 p.m. featuring a solo show by Rachel Whitlow and an Upstream Group show with 10 percent off original art and prints. A matching 10 percent will also benefit the Food Pantry.

“A Village Crawl” will be held in conjunction with Friday Night Live Lights Up the Night, Hastings’ annual tree-lighting ceremony being held at the James Carmon Community center on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. This event at 44 Main St. will feature a holiday sing along and live ice carving.

Boarding Passes are available at the James Harmon Community Center, The Mill, The Prime, Maud's Tavern, River Roadhouse, Yummy Yummie Goodness and Suburban Renewal.
