Sisterhood Shabbat is a special celebration of how far Jewish women have come. All the parts of the service, including leading the service and reading Torah, are performed by women.

Padva has been chosen Woman of the Year for her extensive service to the Hebrew Center and to Sisterhood since she and her family became members in 1986.

Sherry's involvement started with the Nursery School PTA and continued with her work with the Religious School PTA, Jr. Congregation Committee, Shalot Manot, Board of Trustees, Vice President of Membership, Executive Secretary, Sisterhood President and other duties.

When she is not at the Hebrew Center, Padva is an accomplished professional in the field of Sales Promotion and Incentive Merchandising.
