Fairview man upended by firehose

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A pedestrian sustained minor injuries after being struck by a fire hose in Fairview this afternoon.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Kamena Street and Anderson Avenue.

A pumper truck was headed north and the hose came loose, witnesses told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. As the truck turned west on Kamena, the hose fell off the truck, they said.

The victim had Someone had just come out of a corner eatery when another vehicle hit the hose, which snagged a small warning sign and he got tangled up in it.

Cliffside Park and Fairview police and firefighters responded.
