Police Ask For Help Identifying Man Who Allegedly Stole $1K In Goods From Walmart

Stratford Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted for allegedly stealing more than $1K in clothing.

The thefts took place around 8:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9, after the man pictured entered the Stratford Walmart, at 150 Barnum Ave., and stole approximately $1,000 in clothing, toys, and power tools, said Det. Sean Gallagher.

The man left the scene on a vehicle bearing a Vermont license plate.

He is described as being 35-40 years old, slender, 5-foot-9, with a beard, and long dreadlocks. He was wearing a blue sweat jacket with white stripes down the arms, fatigue pants, and dark sneakers with white soles.
