Suffolk County Man Accused Of Committing Three Robberies In Eight Days

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly committing three robberies in an eight-day span.

Kristian Falterman, age 40, of Selden, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 20, by Suffolk County Police for three robberies that occurred in Huntington Station during an eight-day span.

Police said the robberies took place between Tuesday, Jan. 11, and Wednesday, Jan. 19.

According to police, Falterman forcibly stole money and two cell phones from an employee at Sugar Pine Spa, located at 953 New York Ave. in Huntington Station, on Jan. 11.

A week later, Falterman returned to the location, armed with a knife, and stole money from an employee on Jan. 18, and the following day he robbed an employee of cash at knifepoint at Venom Smoke Shop, located at 469A East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station.

No one was injured during the robberies.

Falterman was charged with three counts of robbery.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday, Jan. 21, at First District Court in Central Islip.
