Westchester Man Who Owned Shop For Over 50 Years Dies: Had 'Huge Heart'

A Northern Westchester man who owned a popular shop for more than half a century is being remembered for his never-ending kindness and his unwavering dedication to his community.

Somers resident Francis “Frank” Yozzo died surrounded by family on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at the age of 83, according to his obituary. 

Born in Mount Kisco in 1940, Yozzo was the youngest of ten siblings and cared deeply about his family. He went on to marry June Stapleton Cory in October 1973 and had two daughters with her, Ashley and Alexis. 

To much of his community, Yozzo was known as the owner of Four Seasons Flower Shop for a stunning 55 years. Throughout his time owning the shop, Yozzo became known for his passion for his craft and also exhibited generosity and kindness toward his countless customers over the years, his obituary said.

Yozzo was loved so much that he was even honored with the Mount Kisco Citizen of the Year Award in 2015 for his hard work and good nature. 

"Frank will be remembered for his huge heart and undying love for his family," his obituary read, continuing, "He was a loyal friend who touched everyone’s life with his warm smile, beautiful spirit, and entertaining personality. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, and he will be greatly missed." 

Yozzo is survived by his brother, John; his sisters Agnes and Maryann; and his grandchildren, Antonio, Frank, and Carmela, who will "never forget Grandpa’s unconditional love," according to his obituary.

A visitation for Yozzo will be held on Sunday, Jan. 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 288 East Main St. in Mount Kisco. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be held on Monday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. at the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mount Kisco at 2 Green St.
