DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. — The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry announced that Aja Monet will be the keynote speaker at the Fifth Annual Westchester Poetry Festival, on Saturday, April 11.
The festival will run from 1 to 5:30 p.m. at Estherwood Mansion on The Masters School campus, 49 Clinton Ave.
Monet is the youngest winner of the Nuyorican Poet’s Café Grand Slam title, capturing the award at the age of 19. She has performed in the United States, Europe and Cuba.
Along with Monet, other published poets are scheduled to appear including Sally Bliumis-Dunn, Suzanne Cleary, Katy Lederer, and Matthew Thornburn.
Masters School students also will do poetry readings.
The festival is open to the public. Both admission and campus parking are free to everyone.
