The Hastings Library will host famous Irish singers Tommy Sands and (his son) Fionan Sands at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Tommy Sands is an internationally renowned songwriter, celebrated for his poignant work on the violent struggles in his native Ireland. He has been called the Emerald Isle’s version of American folk singer Pete Seeger, a close friend.
Sands, 67, performed at Seeger’s 90th birthday celebration at Madison Square Garden in 2009, a show that also featured Bruce Springsteen, Joan Baez and Emmylou Harris, among others.
Traditional St. Patrick's Day refreshments will be served.
In Dobbs Ferry, the Dobbs Ferry Senior Citizens will host a St. Patrick's Day Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Embassy Community Center at 60 Palisade St.
