Stamford Attorney Charged With Stealing Former Employee's Identity

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A suspended Stamford lawyer was charged with stealing the identity of a former employee to open a cable account for himself on Tuesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police were notified by the victim when she received a bill from Frontier Communications in her name. Authorities were able to trace the computer John Evans, 59, of Norwalk, the Stamford Advocate reported. 

Evans has been under suspension since 2010 for keeping money owed to a client, the Stamford Advocate said.
