A 2013 BMW entered the Manhattan-bound tube at a high rate of speed around 8:20 a.m. and collided with a 2007 Mercedes livery minivan, which was pushed into a jitney bus on the New York side of the tunnel, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The Summit man, who was a passenger in the minivan, was in cardiac arrest when PAPD arrived, Pentangelo said.

He was taken to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later today.

Two other men were taken to the hospital after complaining of neck and back pain.
