“The gallery will address contemporary art through a variety of avenues, including photography, painting, sculpture, music, poetry, and installation," said owner Ben Diep. “The work we are exhibiting goes beyond being decorative and aesthetically pleasing; it’s both thoughtful and thought provoking.”

Diep, a master printer with a fine art background, owns the gallery with his wife, Mairead Daly-Diep, an event and marketing specialist.

The gallery's exhibition will feature the works of acclaimed photographers David Joseph and John Manzi until Nov. 21.

Joseph challenges the viewer to reconsider and question what we perceive as trash and what is beauty in his "Morning Joe" photography series.

The images of Manzi's "Worlds within Worlds" series challenge the eye to explore beyond familiar visual territory and our ability to perceive the world differently.

The reception is from 6-9 p.m. Square Peg Gallery is on 385 Warburton Ave., Hastings-on-Hudson.
