Friday, Dec. 7

Hastings-on-Hudson Tree Lighting: Special guests, singers and villagers celebrate the lighting of a Christmas tree and menorah at 6 p.m. at the VFW on Warburton Ave. with refreshments to follow at the James Harmon Community Center at 44 Main St.

Ardsley Basketball Tournament: Four teams of boys' and girls' high school basketball teams visit Ardsley High School Thursday-Saturday for a holiday tournament beginning at 5 p.m.

Springhurst Fifth-Grade Chorus: Springhurst Elementary School students will be performing in the grand foyer of the Tishman Speyer building (formerly the Met Life building adjacent to Grand Central Terminal) at 5 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Ardsley Basketball Tournament: Four teams of boys' and girls' high school basketball teams visit Ardsley High School Thursday-Saturday for a holiday tournament beginning at 11 a.m.

Hastings Recreation Community Dinner: Recreation Department and villagers will host a dinner in honor of Hastings Volunteer Fire Department, the Hastings Police Department and Department of Public Works employees for their work during and after Hurricane Sandy.
