DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Many community events are scheduled in the Rivertowns area this week. Check out our calendar listings for more events.

Friday, Sept. 7

Pediatrics On Hudson: 9:30 to 11 a.m. This month’s parenting series focuses on the importance of healthy sleep habits. 615 Broadway, Hastings.

Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fresh produce and local goods will be available along Cedar Street, Dobbs Ferry.

Jazz Night: 7 to 10 p.m. Common Grounds coffee house hosts an open jazz jam session with Jay Azzolina and Ron Vincent at the Hastings Station Café. 134 Southside Ave., Hastings.

Movie In The Park:  7:30 p.m. Ardsley hosts a movie in the park to celebrate the first week of school. Pascone Park, Ardsley.

Saturday, Sept. 8

Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fresh produce and local goods will be available at the Municipal Building parking lot, Hastings.

Community Service Fair: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dobbs Ferry hosts a fair to showcase volunteer opportunities at the Dobbs Ferry Middle School/High School cafeteria. 505 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry.

Take Me To The River: 12 p.m. 12 Miles North Presents the Take Me To The River Music and Arts Festival featuring more than 25 musical guests. Draper Park, Hastings.

Sunday, Sept. 9

Art Reception: 12 to 2 p.m. The work of David Bufano will be showcased in a reception at The Donald Gallery at South Church. 343 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry.

Film Screening: 3 p.m. The Hastings Library hosts a showing of the film “We Need to Talk About Kevin,” starring Tilda Swinton. The film may be disturbing to some viewers. Dessert and discussion will follow the film. 7 Maple Ave., Hastings.
