DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- The third season of the Mercy College Community Choir is open for registration for the spring semester.
The choir is open to both Mercy College students and community singers from the New York metropolitan area. No audition or fee is necessary, just a love of choir singing.
A Greenburgh/White Plains resident, Dennis Bell, directs the choir. He's a gold/platinum award-winning conductor, pianist, composer, music educator and Arts Westchester’s 2012 Musical Artist award winner.
MCCC’s planned repertoire for this season is “A Salute to Stevie Wonder” (choir with soloists and band). The culminating activity will be a professional recording session in Mercy College’s brand-new recording facility, between the end of April through the beginning of May.
The season’s first rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11, from 6:30-9 p.m., on Mercy College’s Dobbs Ferry Campus. Mercy College students are required to have consistent attendance; community singers will be granted a bit more flexibility.
To receive a registration form, followed by information, directions, parking permits, etc., email Bell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
