Cross County Shopping Center Unveils Summer Fest Lineup

Westchester residents are invited to enjoy the sunshine and fun at Cross County Shopping Center’s 8th Annual Summer Fest. Summer -- which begins earlier than usual in Yonkers: This year it runs from mid-May through August.

“Winter was so long! So, we’re happy to say good bye to the cold temperatures and welcome the sunny skies of summer, filled with engaging outdoor entertainment at our annual Summer Fest event,” said Liz Pollack, senior manager of marketing for Cross County Shopping Center. 

There's also free parking as Summer Fest kicks off at noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20.

Guests are invited to come to The Green at the center of the outdoor mall to get a sneak peek of what to expect at this year’s Summer Fest. An array of interactive activities, including food trucks, music from 95.5FM DJ Mike Allan, face painting, strolling street theater artists and beauty makeovers will be offered throughout the day. 

Also, an all-new Instagram Wall will be installed at Center Court for the perfect summer photo op that can be shared on social media with family and friends. 

Yoga “Fit Fest” fitness classes will be offered on May 22, 23, 29 and 30 and June 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Children’s Story Time will be offered on Thursdays, May 31 and June 7 at 10:a.m. as well as July 25, Aug. 1 and 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Encourage more reading and interactive play with this new Children’s Story Time feature at this year’s Summer Fest! Join in with several members of the local community as they select and read a story to children in an intimate setting outdoors on The Green.

On Tuesday, July 3 there will be q fireworks and concert. Music starts at 7  p.m. and the colorful explosives go off about 9"30 p.m., weather-permitting.

Tuesday, July 3 (rain day Friday, July 6); Concert 7:00 p.m. and Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. (A portion of the parking lot will be closed for parking behind Shake Shack).
