Curious-On-Hudson Offers Engineering Program for High School Students

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y.-- Dobbs Ferry-based Curious-on-Hudson has announced “Engineering Explorations,” a program geared towards high school students with an interest in engineering.

The eight-week class at Curious-on-Hudson, 145 Palisade St., Dobbs Ferry, offers students exposure to the various fields of engineering through hands-on experimentation and is designed to provide stimulating class activities that strengthen student’s foundational math and science skills as well as inform their options for a career in technical fields.

Registration for the class is $360 and is open for students ages 13 and up. The class will meet on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting on Sept. 28.

The class is taught by local Westchester resident and engineer, Andy Podell, one of the founders and former assistant principal for Administration, Math, Science & Engineering  at The High School for Math, Science & Engineering in New York City.
