An offensive and defensive lineman for the Section 1 powerhouse Eagles teams in the mid 1990s, Brown, who teamed with running back brother Curtis to help lead the Eagles to league and Section 1 titles, found his real passion in his faith.

The new album, "Believe" offers a simple message from Brown, who is an assistant minister of music at the Bibleway International Ministry in Atlanta, where he moved with his family in 2005.

"What motivates me in my love for God, the family he has given me and my thankfulness for the gift he has given me," said Brown. "Thinking about how he has kept and watched over me, my family and my friends -- music is my therapy. It helps me through tough times, hurts and disappointments. When I'm singing it takes me away from the trials of life that we all face and encourages me to keep on going."

Brown's music journey has taken him  the world to famous Apollo Theater, off-Broadway theater, a featured artist on the Christmas CD entitled “Follow the Star,” performances at Avery Fisher Hall with gospel legend Yolanda Adams and singing at the wedding of Stephen Spielberg’s daughter.

"I want people to be encouraged, inspired, uplifted, by the music," Brown said. "I want them to be reminded of the promises God has made to them. I want to send a message of love, hope, caring, inspiration, and encouragement to all who hear my music."

In August of 2005 Brown founded Christ Centered Ministries, an outreach ministry dedicated to helping those in need.

"Even though we're not perfect, we mess up and make mistakes, God still loves us," Brown said. "He wakes us every morning to see a new day and a new chance to make a difference. That's how I raised my children and that's what I do in my ministry try and make a difference."
