YONKERS, N.Y. – Former New York Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams and his all-star band will take the stage at Westchester’s Ridge Hill Summer Concert Series at 6 p.m. Monday.
The four-time World Series champion and his band are the second act scheduled to perform at the Yonkers shopping center in the series sponsored by radio station WFAS-FM.
A guitar lover since childhood, Williams has released three album and has been nominated for a Latin Grammy for his album "Moving Forward." He also published a book, "Rhythms of the Game: The Link Between Music and Athletic Performance."
The rest of the concerts are:
- July 27: Oh, What a Night, a Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons cover band
- Aug. 8: Brass Transit, a Chicago tribute band
- Aug. 15: “You Can Close Your Eyes,” a tribute to the music of James Taylor
- Aug. 24: “Family Night Out,” a family-friendly event featuring Yosi and the Superdads, Mahoney Brothers and Jukebox Heroes, a band covering the hits of the Beatles, Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson
