Hastings Bakery Offers Unique Hanukkah Treats

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — As a way to offer an alternative to the traditional jelly-filled doughnut used to celebrate Hanukkah, the By the Way Bakery in Hastings is doing things a little differently.

This Hanukkah the bakery is offering several special items to make the holiday a little less filled with fried sweets. By the Way has a vanilla layer cake with organic raspberry filling, a triple-chocolate layer cake with Star of David sprinkles, sugar cookies and Hanukkah cupcakes.

On the Hanukkah cupcakes are four designs – menorah, two different dreidels and gelt – featuring four different flavors.

Everything offered at the bakery is gluten-free, dairy-free and certified kosher-pareve.
