During the week, scenes were shot inside a local business on Cedar Street and along Elm Street. On Thursday, production continued in the area on Harper’s Restaurant, and Friday, crews could be spotted setting up on location along Main Street, concluding with a scheduled night shoot later that evening, complete with special effects to create the illusion of falling snow in the dog days of summer.

During production, multiple parking spaces throughout Dobbs Ferry were cordoned off to accommodate the crews and their equipment, with police overseeing the shoot. Things are expected to return to normal by the weekend.

This isn’t the first time village has played host to Hollywood. In the past few years, several episodes of the television series “The Leftovers” were filmed downtown, scenes from the movie “Social Network” starring Jesse Eisenberg were shot there and an untitled film currently in post-production also frequented Dobbs Ferry.

According to Dobbs Ferry Mayor Hartley Connett, “several homes in the lower Clinton Avenue area have always been popular filming sites or backdrops for various shows and advertising campaigns.”

Earlier this year, scenes for “The Affair” - which is set on Long Island and follows the relationships of four married people, two of which cheat on their spouses with one another - was in the area, shooting on location in Briarcliff with stars Dominic West and Ruth Wilson.

“We’ve had a great time in the area, everyone has been completely accommodating,” a member of the crew said while waiting to shoot outside Harper’s Restaurant on Main Street. “Everywhere we’ve gone so far has been great, I have nothing to complain about.”
