gweiss and DCT definitely have it right. The sculptor was Jacques Lipchitz who lived and worked in Hastings-on-Hudson (you can still see his now-empty studio building on the OCA). Lipchitz gifted the sculpture—"Heaven and Earth"—to HOH in 1967.
