Hailey Mueller is to play the role of a Lullaby League Munchkin and Child of Oz in Cast B, according to a statement from the theater, which noted that the show is to run from Friday, July 29 – Saturday, Aug. 6.
Mueller’s previous experience includes roles as the Gingerbread Witch in “Hansel and Gretel,” and Mae Peterson in “Bye Bye Birdie,” according to her mother, Amanda Mueller.
The 7-year-old also starred as Peter Pan at the Yorktown Stage.“The Wizard of Oz,” a classic novel and film, tells the story of Dorothy, a young girl who journeys over the rainbow to the land of Oz, where she meets the Scarecrow, the Tinman and the Cowardly Lion.
Among the production’s most notable songs are “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “If I Only Had a Brain.”
