HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Mary D. McCabe, a lifelong resident of Hastings-on-Hudson resident, died Dec. 24. She was 84.
Born in Hastings to John and Delia Deegan, she married John McCabe on June 1, 1957. She enjoyed raising and showing Shetland Sheep Dogs, as well as traveling and gardening. McCabe was a lifelong communicant of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her brother Donald Foley, two nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her husband John in 2003.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. The funeral mass will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Church of St. Matthew followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
