The Hastings Recreation Department hosted the event that was well-attended despite the cold, windy weather.
Parents and their children stood in winter wear waiting for the 11 a.m. start to the egg hunt. Once the race for treasure was underway, the children quickly picked up the crop of colorful plastic eggs and enjoyed cookies and juice.
