Salvatore Marziale, 77, Dobbs Ferry Bank Executive

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Salvatore D. Marziale, a lifelong resident of Dobbs Ferry, died April 26. He was 77. 

Born and raised in Dobbs Ferry, he was the son of Salvatore and Tina Marziale. He attended Gettysburg College and served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. Marziale was a vice president of Bankers Trust in New York City for 30 years. He married Emily Fernandez on Nov. 17, 1962, at Church of St. Matthew in Hastings-on-Hudson. 

Marziale was a member of the Embassy Club and active in the Big Brother-Big Sister Program. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing golf and curling and was a fan of the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed tap dancing, listening to opera and reading about history. 

He is survived by his wife, Emily; three daughters, Dana Valdez and husband Ryan, Nancy Pregiato and Carrie DeLuca and husband Michael; a sister, Mary Jane; and nine grandchildren. 

A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Dobbs Ferry. Funeral arrangements were by Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home
