HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. In an effort to present the village of Hastings in every way possible, The Daily Hastings has compiled some local YouTube videos that help immortalize the history of the village, as well as offer a look at some more recent productions. Take a look below at some of the local videos floating around.
This Anaconda Clearance video shows a front row look at the waterfront cleanup in Hastings with one little twist. User jamesdeanconklin has sped the video up to give a time lapsed look at the process.
This version is a big dump of the footage I have to date sped up to 4,300 percent, the video description reads.
The same user has also shared a video titled Anaconda Down of the demolition of the old Anaconda building on the waterfront. This one takes a different approach with a slow motion look at the demolition. Comments on the video share a sense of nostalgia while viewing the destruction of the old structure.

Another video, simply titled Hastings on Hudson, features some compiled family footage from the early 1950s in the village. User greenaire uploaded the video to YouTube back in 2008 and it has more than 1,000 views as it showcases a rare look into the history of the village.
