What to Do This Weekend in Hastings

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Passover and Easter will both be celebrated this weekend, so many people will be at home with family, but if you’re looking to get out there are a few events in the villages.

Friday, April 6

• Offices closed – All village offices are closed in Dobbs Ferry, Hastings and Ardsley for Good Friday. 

• Library closed – The Hastings Public Library will be closed on Friday as well.

• Schools closed – All Dobbs Ferry, Hastings and Ardsley schools are closed for Good Friday and are off all next week for spring recess. 

• Community Seder – 7:30 p.m. Chabad of the Rivertowns will have a community Passover Seder.

• Social media seminar – 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. A social media seminar for parents, “Navigating Social Media With Your Tween and Teen” is at Pediatrics on Hudson.  The seminars are led by Lori Walsh and Jennifer Altman.

• Egg decorating – 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. The Dobbs Ferry Public Library will have an egg decorating event. Children can dye, trim and make egg creatures in celebration of Easter. Just remember to bring your own eggs.

Saturday, April 7

• Versatile singer – 8 p.m. Joan Osborne will play at the Tarrytown Music Hall.
