A Preview of Meetings in Dobbs Ferry This Week

If you want to find out more about what's happening in Dobbs Ferry then there are some meetings this week to help keep you informed.

On Tuesday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. the Board of Trustees will be meeting in the board room at the village hall.

The appointment of Jenny Rosentrach to the Library Board for a five-year term will be discussed after a recommendation from the Nominating Committee.

The appointment of Side Udene to the Waterfront Committee for a one-year term will be considered as well after a recommendation from the Nominating Committee.

The board will consider a resolution authorizing Mayor Hartley Connett to sign an agreement confirming lead agency related to Mercy College development and future development.

A motion to purge parking tickets issued before 2007 will be considered by the board.

The board will also consider a motion to enter into agreement with the Town of Greenburgh for the Village's Assessment function.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will be meeting Wednesday July 13 at 8 p.m. to discuss a few different issues in public hearings. The board will have a continuation of a public hearing on an application filed by William S. Null, Esquire, representing Mercy College, to appeal a decision of the Building Inspector. Mercy College was denied an application to convert/construct dormitory additions on the campus property at 555 Broadway.

There will also be a continuation of a public hearing on an application filed by Beacon Hill Estates for three variances to resurface its parking lots on Beacon Hill Drive.

Also on the agenda is a public hearing on an application filed by Seaver Dobbs Ferry LLC for 11 variances to build a new structure on the property of 11-17 Ashford Ave.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meeting will be held in the meeting room of the board in the village hall.
