Amber Alert Canceled After 3-Year-Old Girl Found

The Amber Alert issued following a child abduction in New York City has been canceled.

Police say the 3-year-old girl has been found and is safe.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Amber Alert that includes Westchester has been activated for a child abduction that occurred Tuesday afternoon on East 102nd Street in New York City.

The 3-year-old white female child, believed to have Down syndrome, was abducted at around noon, police said.

The suspect, Patrick Giblin, is a 50-year-old, 6-foot, 230-pound white male with short, brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue jeans and a camouflage cap. 

Police said Giblin, who has been characterized as suicidal and who suffers from PTSD, was seen leaving a mental health clinic with the child, police said.

Giblin was last seen heading east on the Brooklyn Bridge in a black Dodge Durango with New York license plate number GDE4791.
