Ardsley Police Charge Man With Heroin Possession

ARDSLEY, N.Y. – Ardsley Police pulled a man over for a traffic violation on March 14 and said that upon further investigation it was found that he had an undisclosed amount of heroin on him.

Mario Lopez, a 25-year-old Bronx resident, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree, a felony. Lopez was pulled over on Saw Mill River Road at the intersection of I-87 just after 5 p.m. Police did not say how much heroin Lopez was found with.

Possession of a Controlled Substance Gregory Schiefer, a 34-year-old Yonkers resident, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree, a misdemeanor. Police said he was pulled over on March 17 just before 1 a.m. on Saw Mill River Road near Ashford Avenue for a traffic violation. Police did not say what the substance was that Shiefer allegedly had in his possession, but that it was controlled pharmaceuticals that he did not have a prescription for.
