Ardsley Recreation Department Hosts Late Summer Sports Camp

ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- The Ardsley Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a late-summer sports camp in Pascone Park from August 26-30.

The Ardsley Recreation Department is offering a late-summer camp for youngsters third- through fifth-grade.

The program is opened to youngsters entering third through fifth grade and will include baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, and field games. Instructors include, Ayo Obi, Anthony Giaccio, and Bennett Romney.

"We're doing the camp to give (residents) an opportunity for a camp at the end of the summer," Ardsley Recreation Supervisor Trish Lacy said. "We don't know how many kids we'll get, but we're trying something new to see if it works for the community." There will be a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon and an an evening session from 1-4 p.m.

The cost of each session is $175 for village residents, and $200 for non-village residents. Sign up must be completed by Aug. 21.
