Maria Guaman-Guaman, 24, could have been sentenced to up to 15 years as part of her plea agreement. She will also be under government supervision for up to five years after her release from prison, LoHud.com reported.
Guaman-Guaman admitted to strangling her newborn son with a string then depositing the body in a nearby recycling bin. The body, dubbed "Baby Angel," was found at an Elmsford recycling center, LoHud.com said.
