ARDSLEY, N.Y. – A catch basin collapse in Heatherdell Road in Ardsley will require major repairs and interrupt travel in the area next week.

Repairs will be made on Heatherdell Road between Highland Drive and Major Applebys Road on July 30 and 31, according to an email from Rick Thompson, highway foreman, and Patrick Lindsay, deputy highway foreman. The road will be passable, but periodic delays and detours are likely. Officials urge residents to plan ahead and add extra time to travel and commuting plans.

After the repairs are finished, Heatherdell Road could be narrowed to one lane of alternating traffic for up to a week to allow the repairs to set properly, according to the email.
