Construction On New Tappan Zee Bridge Heats Up

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- The bitter cold seems to be relenting in Westchester County at least for this week, meaning construction on the Tappan Zee Bridge will begin to pick up steam, according to News 12 Westchester.

The pace of construction slowed over the winter due to arctic temperatures and unsafe conditions. Authorities built work stoppages into the schedule of the $3.9 billion bridge project, but now that things are warming up, crews will be getting back to work, News 12 Westchester said.
