Fireworks At Kensico Dam in Valhalla and Rye Playland

RYE, N.Y. -- Firework displays are going to light up the sky over two Westchester County parks next week.

First up is the free annual Kensico Dam Music Fest on July 3, featuring a performance by the Bensen-Scott Big Band. Pre-concert entertainment will begin at 6 p.m. and the band will perform at 8 p.m. At approximately 9:15 p.m., the fireworks display will begin.

Fireworks displays, computer fired and choreographed to a musical soundtrack, will take place at Playland Amusement Park in Rye on July 4, at 9:30 p.m., and July 6, at 9:15 p.m. The park’s operating schedule and admission prices can be found at RyePlayland.org or by calling 914-813-7010. Parking is $5 weekdays, $7 weekends and $10 on July 4.

Rye Playland can be reached via the New England Thruway (I-95), Playland Parkway exit 19 and following it directly into Playland. Kensico Dam Plaza is at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla and can be reached via Route 22 or the Taconic State Parkway.
