ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- Marchelin Polanco, 26, of Yonkers, was arrested in Ardsley on charges of criminal contempt on Aug. 6. Polanco was stopped by police for allegedly failing to signal while changing lanes. According to police, Polanco said he was on his way to visit his girlfriend with her two children in his backseat. However, the woman had an order of protection for herself and her children against Polanco. He was arrested for violating this order.
David Thoma, 28, of Dobbs Ferry, was arrested on Aug. 3 for criminal mischief and reckless endangerment. Police said Thoma got into a dispute with a bar patron at Bubba's Grill and Tavern in Ardsley the night before. Thoma allegedly attempted to leave in a jeep but in the process of pulling out, drove the vehicle into the bar. Police said Thoma drove away, but was apprehended several hours later and arrested.
In other news, an Ardsley woman reported A?u?g?.? ?1 that the passenger side window of her 2002 BMW was smashed out and her cell phone and garage door opener were missing. The incident reportedly occurred ???????????at McDowell Park sometime between 7 a.m.-6 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
