Dobbs Ferry Historian Drops in at Office Hours

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – We would like to thank Richard Borkow, the Dobbs Ferry village historian, for joining us for office hours at the Hastings Public Library on Thursday afternoon.

Borkow stopped by to discuss his recently published book, "George Washington's Westchester Gamble."  One of the local experts on the history of the area, Borkow said he will be giving a speech at the Irvington Public Library where he will discuss themes from his book on Sunday, Oct. 16.  Borkow invites everyone to come out and will be signing copies of his book as well.

Everyone who stops by to voice an opinion or idea helps make our coverage even better. We would also like to thank everyone who has been involved in conversations on Facebook and Twitter.

We want to hear what's on your mind and what local issues are important to you. If you have an idea for a story email reporter Redmond Zmudzien at rzmudzien@TheDailyDobbsFerry.com and we'll check it out. Office hours occur each week for one hour and we encourage everyone to come meet your town reporter to chat about local news.

If there is a better time or place we can have the office hours, let us know below in the comments section and remember to like Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for more updates on your community.
