Dobbs Ferry Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession

An 18-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Police were notified of disorderly persons in the woods on July 14 and later found a group of youths around a campfire. Police said they observed the 18-year-old male rolling a marijuana cigarette. After he was arrested, police said they also found a tinfoil bag containing a substance that appeared to be marijuana. Police said the male was also in possession of a Pennsylvania license with his photo, but a different name and date of birth. The fake identification is the forged instrument he was charged with possessing. He is due in village court on July 21.

Meanwhile, a criminal complaint was filed on July 12 after a local male said he was the victim of verbal threats over the phone. The charge would be aggravated harassment in the second degree. The incident occurred on July 6, but was reported on July 12 after the victim was advised by his attorney to report it to police. The victim said he received approximately five phone calls, answering three of them, and received verbal threats to his safety.
